About the Project

The goal of this project is to increase the children’s awareness of the importance of the coastal ecosystems. In a playful way we teach the children about coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves and the animals that live in these ecosystems. The project will be carried out on small elementary schools in Puerto Princesa City with very few resources. The program consists of theoretical classes, creative assignments, documentaries, informative games and excursions. The lessons and excursions will be given by students of the local university. We believe that educating the children is essential for the conservation of the natural resources in Palawan.
